CHATFIELD · LORA MESH OFF-GRID COMMUNICATION
ChatField specializes in local team communication for places where cellular data, cell towers and Wi-Fi cannot be relied upon. We develop phone-paired LoRa mesh systems that keep PTT voice, text and voice messages, offline maps and team location moving between equipped teammates.
Local team coordination continues without using a cellular tower, public Wi-Fi or a cloud data path.
Equipped devices communicate directly and can use up to two participating relay nodes to support a local multi-node path where the configured layout permits.
The smartphone remains the working interface for PTT, messages, offline maps and team location.
THE FIELD COMMUNICATION CATEGORY
It is a local communication system for a defined team. Information travels from a phone to its paired radio terminal, then across LoRa links between equipped team members. Core local exchange does not depend on a mobile carrier or Wi-Fi access point.

WHY IT STILL WORKS OFF-GRID
The phone still performs the user-interface work when it is offline. Bluetooth connects the phone to a carried radio terminal, and LoRa links connect that terminal to equipped teammates.
A team member starts PTT, sends a message or checks team information in the ChatField app.
The phone passes the operational data to its paired field communication terminal.
The terminal sends the data directly or through a participating local node when the supported path requires it.
The receiving terminal delivers the information to the teammate’s paired phone.
Important boundary: “Off-grid” means the team’s core local communication path does not depend on cellular data or Wi-Fi. It does not mean satellite internet, public emergency dispatch, unlimited distance or guaranteed coverage in every terrain.

J25 is ChatField’s current phone-paired LoRa mesh communication device. Each equipped teammate carries a J25 while using a paired smartphone as the interface.
Use the paired phone to start local push-to-talk voice exchange with equipped teammates.
Send concise operational information that the team can review again during the task.
Exchange reported positions and work from map data prepared before leaving normal coverage.
Notify equipped teammates on the local mesh; this is not a connection to public emergency services.
DEPLOYMENT PLANNING FOR BUYERS
A catalog distance cannot represent every deployment. Open terrain such as plains, open line-of-sight routes or areas with limited hills can support an ideal J25 communication distance up to 10 km; for real buyer trials, use around 5 km as the urban-obstructed field-test distance and evaluate relay-node placement, terrain, team movement and acceptance criteria before approving a configuration or volume order.

Each person who needs to participate in the local ChatField network should be equipped with a compatible terminal and paired phone. Team layout and node spacing should be planned around the real operating route.
